Welcome to CFK

CFK is the administrator of the Dutch professional football bridging benefit scheme. This tailor made scheme is designed to provide a basic income for professional players during their transition into a new line of work after their football career has ended. CFK (Stichting Contractspelersfonds KNVB) also serves other pension schemes in the football sector (professional players and trainers).

CFK falls under the supervision of financial markets regulator AFM (Autoriteit Financiële Markten) and is licensed in accordance with Article 2:65 (1) (b) of the Netherlands Financial Regulation Act (Wet op het Financieel Toezicht).

Bridging pension

The bridging pension is a tailor made scheme, in which professional players are required to build up their own individual bridging benefits fund by investing a portion of their gross earnings. Bridging benefits are paid monthly for some years after their professional career has ended.

Old age pension

Alongside the bridging pension professional footballers also have a basic old age pension.This provides for an income on retirement, from the age of 65 for instance. It also assures an income for surviving dependants after the death of the member (partner and orphans pension). A similar pension exists for professional football trainers.
