The bridging benefit and pension scheme regulations are based on the KNVB Professional Football (Betaald Voetbal KNVB) regulations, the standard players contract and the professional football pay-and-conditions agreement (CAO). Membership of the bridging scheme is in principle compulsory for every player under contract to an Eredivisie of Jupiler League team who lives and works in the Netherlands.
CFK is the administrator for the bridging scheme and is also involved in running two other pension schemes for football employee groups (professional players and trainers). Booklets are available explaining the administrative procedures for the various schemes.
